Ranger Progression Undead devourer levels stack with ranger levels for purposes of spellcasting and bonus combat style feats.
Undead Shape [SP] An undead devourer gains the ability to turn herself into any small or Medium undead creature and back again once per day. Her options for new forms include all creatures with the undead type. This ability functions like the undead anatomy I spell, except as noted here. The effect lasts for 1 hour per devourer level, or until she changes back. Changing form (to undead creature or back) is a standard action and doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. The form chosen must be that of an undead creature the devourer is familiar with.
A devourer can use this ability an additional time per day at 3rd level and every two levels thereafter, for a total of five times at 9th level. At 10th level, a devourer can use undead shape at will. As a devourer gains in levels, this ability allows the devourer to take on the form of larger and smaller undead creatures. Each form expends one daily usage of this ability, regardless of the form taken.
At 3rd level, a devourer can use undead shape to change into a Large undead creature. When taking the form of an undead creature, a devourer’s undead shape now functions as undead anatomy II.
At 5th level, when taking the form of undead creatures, a devourer’s undead shape now functions as undead anatomy III.
At 7th level, when taking the form of undead creatures, a devourer’s undead shape now functions as undead anatomy IV.
At 9th level, when taking the form of undead creatures, a devourer’s undead shape now functions as a supernatural ability and only requires a move action to active.
Undead Victuals An undead devourer may consume the remains of an undead that has been slain within the last hour to gain some of its powers. The devourer must spend a full round action that provokes attacks of opportunity eating either the physical remains or the ectoplasm of a recently slain undead. At the end of the action the undead creatures remains are entirely consumed, regardless of size. The devourer may then use any of the abilities of the creature devoured for up to one hour per hit die of the creature consumed. The devourer may also chose to give itself a +2 profane bonus to strength, dexterity, and/or charisma. Each ability or ability score boost uses up the time available at the same rate. For example, an undead devourer that consumes the remains of a 2 hit die skeleton may gain DR5/bludgeoning for two hours, or +2 strength and DR5/bludgeoning for one hour, or +2 strength, +2 dexterity, immunity to cold, and DR5/bludgeoning for half an hour.
Improved Favored Enemy Undead At 4th level, and again at 8th, the bonus against undead that a devourer receives from their favored enemy class feature improves by +4.
