Hobgoblins are humanoids with the goblinoid subtype. They have the racial traits found on page 175 of the Bestiary.

Instead of receiving an additional skill rank or hit point whenever they gain a level in a favoured class, hobgoblins have the option of choosing from a number of other bonuses, depending upon their favoured class. The following options are available to all hobgoblins who have the listed favoured class, and unless otherwise stated, the bonus applies each time you select the listed favoured class reward.

Cavalier: Add +1 hit point to the cavalier’s mount. If the hobgoblin ever replaces his or her mount, the new mount gains these bonus hit points. These bonuses only apply to a single mount gained as part of the cavalier’s class.

Cleric: Add +1/4 to the cleric’s effective level for determining the details of his or her channel energy class feature.

Druid: Add a +1/2 bonus on Diplomacy checks and Intimidate checks to influence a creature’s attitude.

Fighter: Add +1/4 to the fighter’s effective level for determining when he or she gains the armour mastery class feature.

Paladin: The paladin gains energy resistance 1 against acid, cold, electricity, or fire. Each time the paladin selects this reward, increase his or her resistance to one of these energy types by 1 (maximum 10 for any one type).

Sorcerer: Add one spell known from the sorcerer spell list. This spell must be at least one level below the highest spell level the sorcerer can cast.
